Welcome to Safe Child Tourism in Cambodia

We are a technical school for boys and girls from poor areas and they learn with us how to work and get a skill for a best future for themselves and their country.

The Don Bosco Technical School of Sihanoukville belongs to the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia and to the Salesian Congregation of Don Bosco worldwide.

The Don Bosco or Salesian education has a high reputation in more than 127 countries in the world.

At the moment the Salesians in charge of the school of Sihanoukville are: Father John Visser, Rector, a Dutch who has been between Thailand and Cambodia for more than 50 years working for the education of new generations of Thai and Cambodian youth from poor areas; Father Albeiro Rodas, Vice-Rector, a Colombian, professional in social communication and journalism; Brother Roberto Panetto, in charge of the Don Bosco Hotel School, an Italian who is one of the founders of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia. We have also the support of a qualified staff, many of them our own past pupils, who belong to an educational family to the benefit of our dear students.

A work of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia and the Society of the Salesians of Don Bosco. It was opened in 1997 in agreement with the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Cambodia to provide technical skills for youth of the south of Cambodia. So far, Don Bosco Sihanoukville has given technical certificates to above 7,000 youth in sections like Mechanic, Electricity, Welding, Auto, Secretariat for girls, Social Communication and Hotel School. Boys and girls have to pass an application, do an exam, face an interview and have at least 9th grade. Priority is given to boys sent by orphanages, NGOs and other institutions dedicated to the education of children. The applicants must not be younger than 16 and older than 22 years old. See description of this DBFC Project.
