Teacher Thana Ettipol was born in Prek Kouy Vilage, Srok Sa Ang, Kandal Province on January 1, 1981. He is a Don Bosco Past Pupil of the Electric Section Don Bosco Sihanoukville (1998-2000). He studied Taekwondo and Bodyguard in the Chunnam Techno College in Gwangju, South Korea. Why did you study Taekwondo? Because here in Sihanoukville there is not a school of Prodal (Khmer boxing). When I went to study bodyguard, Taekwondo was a part of the formation, so I did. Why do you think Taekwondo is good for the youth? Because Taekwondo gives to the person qualities as a good health, energy and a good mental health, so young people is not thinking in bad things. Taekwondo is a sport, not a vulgar fight and it is in the Olympic Games. Why it has been good for you? Because it gave me a good health and good mental health and I am more active in whatever I do. Talk about the Don Bosco Taekwondo Club of Sihanoukville? We have 30 young men, students of Don Bosco Technical School (20 to 26 years old), I think all of them are 90% excellent sportsmen and I think in the future they could participate in big events in our country. I do not have now a preferred one, I think all of them have the same opportunities. I like from them that they are very kind and friendly and they put commitment and like to train hard. What do you need? We need sponsor or support and get the right tools so we can do a best training with the students. We need now things like uniformes, training gear, training suits, protective gears, carpets and gym accessories.
