Near the Gratitude Day The educational community is preparing the Gratitude Day on June 24, a traditional activity made by the students to their teachers and the administration of their school to give thanks for the year. The celebration is especially dedicated by the second year, near to leave the school and look for opportunities of job in Cambodia. The students prepare programs of music, drama and words of appreciation for their school that gave them a knowledge to be able to work out their own future with a skill. Thanks to the Singapore Polytechnic We want to thank the teachers and students of the Singapore Polytechnic for their activities from June 1 to 17 in our Don Bosco Sihanoukville. The experience was great for both institutions and opened the door to future interchanges. Here some pictures and videos:
"Dear Father Albeiro: Thank you for making our stay at the Sun Brother House such a pleasent and confortable one - it was our 'home' from 1-12 June 2008 in that we ate, slept, prepared our lesson material and even hosted a gathering for our Cambodian friends there! Thank you also for the opportunities to meet and fellowship with your staff and students from the social communication of the Don Bosco Technical School. We will always remember the warm hospitality and friendliness of the Cambodians. We wish you, your staff and students the very best in all your endeavors, and we pray that God will continue to bless your country, your people and the staff and students of the DBTS, that you will grow from strength to strength in the mind, body and spirit, and thus you will continue the good work of the founder of the Don Bosco School. With best wishes, Ms Cyrine Joose, Mrs. Delonix Cheong, Ms May Wee and the 20 students from Singapore Polytechnic". Sihanoukville, June 13, 2008
